Plan your party with these tapas & sangria recipes

Although the exact origins have been lost in the mists of time, Sangria can be traced back centuries and it's roots are most commonly tied to the early planting of the Iberian peninsula vineyards in Spain. While sangria recipes varied, most traditional sangria was a blend of red wine, local citrus fruits such as orange and lemon, brandy and honey. Derived from the Spanish word "sangre", it's named for the vibrant red hues of the sangria drink, symbolizing life and vitality.
A popular drink throughout Spain and the rest of Europe for hundreds of years, this treasure was first discovered by America when the Spanish world served it at the 1964 World Fair in New York.
Sangria may be Spanish in origin, but this deliciously fruity wine has since become one of the most popular refreshments throughout the world.
